How to be an ally
Gay and lesbian is all i ever knew. It took me awhile to firgure out what i am, who i am and what i really consider myself to be, and if my being honest, the idea of who am i is still constantly evolving. So for the longest time i thought it was only gay and lesbian. I’m ashamed to say i was one of those people who didn’t believe in bisexuals or curious, i thought if your willing to go through all thos sexual motions then you have to be gay or lesbian. Buuuuut as i got older and started going out of my little bubble i somewhat understood was what was what and who was who, the Utep queer student alliance really gave me an idea of pronouns, and How to use the right pronouns and why it was so important, but it was until one of my friends told me her partner was trans and then that’s when it really made sense, i was able to put the idea to a face and could really grasp the idea better, I’m not 100% on my terminology, or political correctness, what to ask, what not to ask, the only think i can do is read and secretly ask my trans brothern whats allowed, oh and a lot of reading, its also easier just to read then blunty asked, SO HOW DO YOU PEE.
